For various reasons, I opened the pool early this year. It is still much too cold for swimming -- or so I thought.
The kids were playing on the deck today, and the girls asked if they could go swimming. I thought this was an absurd idea, but decided to humour them. I said it was really cold, and that they should try putting their arms in. They did, but their minds were not changed. Five minutes later, both girls were happily bobbing around in 64°F water. Even David jumped in a couple of times (before jumping out just as quickly).
