David has been in his "big boy bed" for over a week now. After a difficult start (falling out twice a night) he now seems to have got the hang of it. The only trouble is, he is abusing his new freedom by running into Mummy and Daddy's room at 6:15 every morning! That is our new waking-up time.
David gave up his cot so that the girls could sleep separately. To fill the space left by his cot, Mummy bought a wooden train set, the track of which David likes to lay out in sprawling designs that never join up anywhere. He seems happy simply to push the train from one end to the other and back again.
The girls are doing quite well overall. They now fall unconscious at 8pm every night and usually don't wake up until long after David has started charging around in the morning. Having said that, Helen must be having a growth spurt or something because she has woken up in the night several times recently.
The girls are also getting the hang of bottle-feeding. Rachel took to it right from the start, but Helen used to fly into a terrible rage whenever a bottle was held anywhere near her face. Thankfully she has got over that now.
Mummy and Daddy are very much looking forward to their trip to the Bahamas at the end of the month!
