The Honda Odyssey is having a dent repaired this week. The insurance company is paying the rental on a Dodge Grand Caravan. It has quite a few useful things that the Honda does not have: a splitting third row, a power driver seat, and power sliding doors (operated by remote control, of course).

David is very excited about it.

As soon as I got home, he practically dragged me into the garage. After first setting off the panic alarm (an accident, I was assured), he got the sliding doors to whir open and then dived inside. "Come on in, Daddy! Let me show you all of its features!"

If palaeontology doesn't work out for him, perhaps he can be a car salesman.
