Tonight Rob read David the last chapter of 'The Sorcerer's Stone'. It has been a big success. He has been really enthusiastic about it, sometimes choosing to read before breakfast or instead of watching TV. We have read at least one chapter a day and have completed the book in just over a week. He is already excited about starting 'The Chamber of Secrets' tomorrow. With any luck we can read books 2, 3 and 4 before the latest film is released on November 18th.

Rachel ought to be a poster child for Weetabix. It is her staple breakfast and has been for some weeks now. She usually eats two every morning.

Helen loves to twist her hair around her finger. When on the computer today she would use her finger to click the mouse then go straight back to twirling her hair with it. If I pick her up then she twists my hair around her finger.

The girls are now officially out of nappies. Helen has been wearing pants for nearly two weeks without incident, Rachel for slightly longer with only a few accidents. They still wear pull-ups at bedtime although they will take themselves to the toilet in the middle of the night if they need to, but not without telling us first!

Funny things that the girls say and/or have said:
When Rachel was 1 (we think) she used to call a jumper "bugger". We spent not an inconsiderable amount of time trying to coach her so say "jumper off" without much success!
Last year at school the girls had a classmate called Joseph. Helen never could get the hang of saying his name and still calls him "Joefish".
Both girls have always used the term "at de morning" to mean any time before today and possibly even to mean tomorrow. The other day when Rachel was talking about an event that had occurred several times she referred to it happening "at de morning, at de morning, at de morning, and today"!
